Valdecir Pascoal: “O cidadão tem que conhecer o TCE e saber da sua atuação no dia-a-dia e sua importância para todos”

Tomou posse na noite da última segunda-feira, dia 8, como novo presidente do Tribunal de Contas do Estado de Pernambuco (TCE), o conselheiro Valdecir Pascoal. O evento aconteceu no auditório da Escola Judicial de Pernambuco e contou com a presença de várias autoridades, representantes dos três poderes constituídos, além de nomes marcantes da sociedade civil organizada.

Além de Valdecir Pascoal, tomaram posse os novos integrantes da diretoria do TCE: conselheiros, Carlos Neves na vice-presidência; Marcos Loreto, na Corregedoria-Geral; Dirceu Rodolfo, na direção da Escola de Contas Públicas e Eduardo Porto, na Ouvidoria. O mandato dos mesmos é de dois anos.

O Blog do Alberes Xavier e a Rede Pernambuco de Rádios marcara presença no ato e puderam conferir de perto a expectativa e a opinião do presidente da Corte sobre assuntos fundamentais para o bom funcionamento da mesma, bem como, para toda a sociedade pernambucana.

Lançamos uma série de reportagens, extraídas de uma entrevista feita com Valdecir Pascoal, e o primeiro tema é: O desafio de assumir o comando do Tribunal de Contas do Estado.

Segundo Valdecir Pascoal, o TCE tem como grande desafio, mostrar a sua importância para o cidadão, para toda a sociedade. “O cidadão tem que conhecer o TCE e saber da sua atuação no dia-a-dia e sua importância para todos, para a vida de todos nós”, disse.

O presidente frisou ainda que a fiscalização da eficiência as despesas públicas estará sempre em pauta em sua gestão. “Cada centavo do orçamentopúblico tem um propósito, daí temos que verificar se, além de cumprir seu aspecto legal, a gestão também tem cumprido com o seu papel junto ao cidadão”.

Para Valdecir Pascoal, o TCE terá que manter aquilo que foi incrementado por outros presidentes e que proporcionaram o desenvolvimento de várias áreas da sociedade, como meio-ambiente e educação. Ele disse também que a partir de agora, a Corte terá um olhar mais criterioso para a segurança pública em Pernambuco.

Ele falou também que o Tribunal estará atento aos avanços tecnológicos, a todas as inovações e também a inteligência artificial, mas deixou claro que nada substitui o raciocínio e o juízo de valor de cada membro do TCE sobre as mais variadas pautas, que aflijam diretamente o cidadão e a cidadã do nosso estado.
