Prefeitura do Jaboatão disponibiliza DIU para mulheres em ação de saúde

Neste sábado (24), a Prefeitura do Jaboatão dos Guararapes, em parceria com a Escola de Enfermagem Ângelus Saúde, realizará uma ação de saúde voltada para as mulheres do município. Serão disponibilizadas inserções de DIU (Dispositivo Intrauterino), um método contraceptivo, para 80 mulheres previamente selecionadas.

A ação de saúde acontecerá no Centro de Parto Normal Rita Barradas, localizado em Sucupira, das 8h às 16h. As mulheres contempladas para a colocação do DIU foram contatadas previamente e orientadas sobre o procedimento. Elas estão em fila de espera no Sistema de Regulação Municipal (SISREG). Vale ressaltar que o atendimento não será realizado de forma livre para a população, sendo restrito às mulheres previamente selecionadas.

Essa iniciativa é promovida pela Gerência das Políticas Estratégicas e Programas, em conjunto com a Coordenação de Saúde da Mulher, visando promover a saúde e o bem-estar das mulheres do município.

O que é o DIU?

O DIU é um método contraceptivo bastante eficaz na prevenção da gravidez. Trata-se de uma pequena estrutura em formato de T, inserida no útero da mulher. O DIU tem validade de até 10 anos e é um dos métodos disponibilizados pelo Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) por meio do Programa de Planejamento Reprodutivo e Direitos Sexuais.
