Prefeitura do Recife Inaugura Nova Escola Municipal no Bairro do Barro

Na manhã desta sexta-feira (12), a Prefeitura do Recife, por meio da Secretaria de Educação, entregou oficialmente a nova sede da Escola Municipal Doutor Antônio Correia, localizada no bairro do Barro. Com investimentos significativos na ordem de R$ 3,5 milhões, o novo prédio da unidade foi projetado para atender aproximadamente 380 estudantes, representando um aumento de 80% na oferta de vagas. Essa iniciativa faz parte do programa Escola no Grau, que visa construir e requalificar unidades de ensino em toda a cidade.

O prefeito destacou a importância histórica dessa entrega para a comunidade do Barro, ressaltando que a nova escola oferece uma estrutura moderna e digna para os alunos, com salas de aula climatizadas, biblioteca, sala de recursos multifuncionais, pátio coberto, refeitório, entre outros espaços essenciais para o ensino e aprendizado de qualidade.

A nova sede da E.M. Doutor Antônio Correia é resultado de um investimento de cerca de R$ 3,5 milhões e foi equipada com instalações modernas, incluindo uma quadra coberta, banheiros acessíveis e uma rede lógica para suporte tecnológico. O secretário de Educação do Recife destacou que a reconstrução da escola era um pedido histórico da comunidade, e a entrega do novo prédio permitiu dobrar a capacidade de oferta de vagas na região.

Além disso, o programa Escola no Grau, com investimentos substanciais na ordem de R$ 200 milhões, tem como objetivo promover a construção, ampliação e requalificação de escolas e creches. Desde seu lançamento, o programa já obteve resultados significativos, com várias obras concluídas, em andamento e previstas para iniciar em breve, fortalecendo o acesso à educação de qualidade para crianças e jovens da cidade.

A entrega da nova escola foi comemorada pela comunidade local, que reconhece a importância das melhorias na estrutura da unidade para o aprendizado das crianças. Uma mãe, que também é ex-aluna da escola, expressou sua satisfação com as mudanças positivas que ocorreram na instituição ao longo dos anos, proporcionando um ambiente propício ao desenvolvimento educacional de seus filhos.
