Porto de Suape comemora 46 anos com estreia de linha marítima semanal para a Ásia

Navio MSC Juliette, de bandeira liberiana, inaugura a nova rota que trará mais competitividade aos exportadores e importadores do Nordeste

O Porto de Suape, sexto atracadouro que mais movimenta carga no Brasil e que completa 46 anos de fundação nesta quinta-feira (7), recebeu um grande presente, nesta quarta (6), para incrementar ainda mais suas operações: a chegada do navio MSC Juliette, que marca o início da rota regula e semanal de longo curso entre a costa nordestina e o continente asiático. O porta-contêineres, de classe mundial New Panamax, com capacidade máxima de 15 mil TEUs, fará a ligação dos portos da região com Singapura e outros importantes complexos portuários da Ásia.

A embarcação atracou às 12h no Cais 2, localizado no Tecon Suape, para movimentar 2.201 contêineres, e tem previsão de saída no próximo sábado (9), com destino à cidade-estado asiática. O Serviço Santana, como é chamado o percurso, conta com navio MSC porta-contêineres da classe 366 metros, com duração, média, de 23 dias de viagem. A rota é viabilizada pela MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A, uma das gigantes mundiais do setor de transporte marítimo de carga conteinerizada.


“Estamos colhendo o resultado de um trabalho muito duro. No ano passado, fizemos a dragagem do canal externo de Suape. Agora, estamos dragando o canal interno e fazendo a obra de proteção do molhe. Isso tudo é para aumentar a capacidade do nosso porto de receber grandes navios. E hoje, Suape inaugura uma linha que liga o nosso Porto, o nosso estado de Pernambuco, direto com Singapura. É uma nova rota para economia do nosso estado. Isso significa mais emprego, significa novas empresas decidindo fazer negócios a partir do Porto de Suape”, ressaltou o secretário de Desenvolvimento Econômico, Guilherme Cavalcanti.

COMPETITIVIDADE
“Com a consolidação do serviço, o Porto de Suape se posiciona como gateway de contêineres de longo curso na região, possibilitando maior competitividade aos exportadores e importadores do Nordeste. Para isso, estamos trabalhando arduamente na melhoria da infraestrutura do nosso porto, a exemplo das obras de dragagem e de recuperação do molhe de proteção dos píeres e cais”, pontua o diretor-presidente da estatal portuária, Marcio Guiot.

Com a atracação do MSC Juliette, o Nordeste do Brasil ganha a primeira linha direta entre a região ao continente asiático, cuja rota é realizada pelo Oceano Pacífico e Canal do Panamá, com parada em portos do Caribe, na América Central. “Do ponto de vista comercial, é um divisor de águas para o comércio exterior de Pernambuco, pois aumenta as possibilidades de negócios para as diversas cadeias produtivas e industriais”, explica o diretor de Desenvolvimento e Gestão Portuária, Rinaldo Lira.

Suape recebeu o primeiro supernavio da classe New Panamax no dia 29 de julho deste ano. O recorde foi protagonizado pela embarcação MSC Orion com capacidade de carregamento de 15 mil TEUs, sendo, até então, a maior registrada no atracadouro pernambucano. Após o marco histórico, a estatal entrou na rota das megaoperações com a capacidade máxima e essa é a sexta embarcação desse nível a chegar complexo portuário industrial.

OBRAS DE INFRAESTRUTURA
A conclusão da dragagem do porto externo, que atingiu 20 metros de profundidade, é uma das obras de infraestrutura realizadas pela estatal portuária para ampliar a competitividade e reunir as condições necessárias para que navios de classe mundial possam atracar com carga máxima, otimizando as exportações e importações. Já a intervenção no canal interno, que resultará no aprofundamento de até 16,2 metros, tem prazo de conclusão de cinco meses, prevendo a remoção de 3,8 milhões de metros cúbicos de sedimentos. Os serviços começam nas próximas semanas.

O mesmo pacote de obras contempla a dragagem e a manutenção da bacia de evolução e dos Píeres de Granéis Líquidos (PGLs) 3A e 3B, para aprofundamento até 18,5 metros O custo total das intervenções é de R$ 204 milhões (R$ 104 milhões de recursos próprios e R$ 100 milhões do Programa de Aceleração do Crescimento/PAC3). Na finalização da dragagem do canal externo, foram investidos R$ 140 milhões.

Outra obra com reflexo direto na movimentação portuária é o serviço de reforço do molhe de abrigo do atracadouro. A quarta e última etapa da intervenção contempla 1,8 quilômetro da estrutura e já está em andamento, com prazo de conclusão previsto para 47 meses. Trata-se de uma intervenção fundamental contra a força das marés altas, permitindo que as operações sejam realizadas com menor interferência de correntes marítimas e ondas. O investimento é de R$ 123 milhões (R$ 73 milhões de recursos próprios e R$ 50 milhões do PAC3).
