A governadora Raquel Lyra acompanhou, na noite deste sábado (21), o São João de Gravatá, no Agreste Central do Estado. Em 2025, segundo a prefeitura do município, a expectativa é que 1 milhão de pessoas prestigiem o ‘Arraiá da Felicidade’ durante todo o ciclo junino, que ontem contou com apresentações de artistas como Wesley Safadão e Bruno e Marrone. A vice-governadora Priscila Krause acompanhou a festa ao lado da gestora no Pátio de Eventos Chucre Mussa Zarzar.
“O Estado inteiro está em festa, somos a capital do Brasil neste momento. É aqui que a gente tem o maior e melhor São João do mundo. É o São João de rua, com as pessoas podendo brincar com tranquilidade, trazendo as famílias. Estamos vestidos de festa, não só trazendo as pessoas que são daqui, mas também aquelas que vêm de fora”, destacou a governadora Raquel Lyra.
O prefeito de Gravatá, Padre Joselito, agradeceu o apoio do Governo do Estado à tradicional festa do ciclo junino gravataense. “É um prazer enorme receber a governadora e a vice-governadora aqui em Gravatá, onde estamos juntos fazendo essa linda festa de São João. Agradecemos por todo o apoio que Gravatá está recebendo”, afirmou.
“Gravatá é um lugar que concentra muita gente e também muita cultura. É um lugar muito importante do ponto de vista da tradição, então a governadora fazer questão de celebrar parte do São João aqui mostra como ela tem se esforçado para manter viva e forte a nossa cultura”, declarou a presidente da Fundação do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico de Pernambuco (Fundarpe), Renata Borba.
O deputado federal Waldemar Oliveira, por sua vez, ressaltou a importância do apoio do Estado para que as prefeituras invistam em turismo e cultura. “A presença do governo em Gravatá está sendo fundamental para a realização do São João. Sem o Governo do Estado não conseguiríamos realizar essa festa linda. Sabemos que os custos são muito altos para a contratação de bandas, entre outras coisas, e a gestão estadual é a parceira número um da prefeitura nesse aspecto”, pontuou.
SEGURANÇA – Para o São João 2025 em Gravatá, a Secretaria de Defesa Social montou uma grande operação que conta com reconhecimento facial, drones, delegacia móvel e reforço no efetivo policial. Na cidade a segurança será ampliada com 896 lançamentos extras de efetivo policial e um investimento superior a R$ 150 mil por parte do Governo de Pernambuco para fortalecer as ações ostensivas e preventivas na cidade durante o período festivo.
Além do investimento no efetivo, o destaque da operação fica por conta do uso do reconhecimento facial, tecnologia que auxilia na identificação de pessoas com pendências judiciais. Nos principais pontos de animação, como o Pátio de Eventos Chucre Mussa Zarzar (Polo Principal) e o Polo da Sanfona, localizado na Avenida Joaquim Didier, serão instalados Pontos de Observação Elevados (POEs), proporcionando uma visualização estratégica das áreas mais movimentadas.
Já o Corpo de Bombeiros Militar de Pernambuco (CBMPE) atuará com equipes posicionadas estrategicamente para realizar atendimentos pré-hospitalares, ações de combate a incêndios e outras ocorrências de emergência.

Climate change disproportionately affects vulnerable populations around the world. Despite emitting far fewer greenhouse gases, low-income nations are suffering the most from extreme weather events and have fewer resources to adapt or recover.
Photographs at the exhibition show the effects of desertification, flooding and plastic pollution. A black and white image shows the ruins of a house in West Bengal, India, sloping towards the Ganges River, with the owner sitting alongside. Riverbank erosion is degrading the environment and displacing communities in the area. Photographer Masood Sarwer said in a press release that the photo depicts the “slow violence” of climate change: “These are not sudden disasters, but slow-moving, relentless ones — shaping a new category of environmental refugees.”
Another photo, taken by Aung Chan Thar, shows children fishing for trash in Inle Lake, Myanmar. The lake was once a pristine natural wonder but now faces the growing threat of plastic pollution. “This image of children cleaning the water symbolizes the importance of education and collective action in preserving our environment for a sustainable future,” he said.
