Em mais uma reunião estratégica durante sua viagem a São Paulo, nesta sexta-feira (06), o prefeito do Jaboatão dos Guararapes, do Mano Medeiros, acompanhado da primeira-dama Andrea Medeiros e do secretário de Desenvolvimento Econômico, Turismo, Cultura e Esportes, Roberto Abreu e Lima, esteve reunido com executivos da multinacional de comércio eletrônico Shopee. O encontro, programado desde as primeiras tratativas da gestão com a empresa, serviu para alinhar algumas ações de apoio para a efetiva estruturação de uma grande central de distribuição de produtos da marca que está se instalando no município.
Entre os temas tratados, a questão de priorizar e intermediar a contratação dos jaboatonenses para os mais de mil empregos que deverão ser gerados pela Shopee até o final do ano. “Um encontro muito proveitoso, onde fomos muito bem recebidos e pudemos estreitar a relação para que esse novo empreendimento que chega a Jaboatão dos Guararapes possa gerar, em breve, boas novidades para a cidade e a sua população. Esse centro de distribuição fortalece esse nosso potencial logístico e nos coloca na rota de outras empresas terciárias”, avaliou o prefeito Mano Medeiros.
Para a primeira-dama Andrea Medeiros, “Jaboatão dos Guararapes e a nossa população só têm a ganhar com a instalação de um centro de distribuição desse porte. E o prefeito Mano Medeiros, numa visão muito estratégica reconhecendo a importância do empreendimento, desde o início se interessou nesse processo de apoiar administrativamente a instalação da Shopee aqui”, afirmou. Também celebrando a transformação social e econômica que o equipamento de distribuição trará para Jaboatão dos Guararapes, o secretário municipal Roberto Abreu e Lima reforçou. “Essa conquista deve ser celebrada por todos pois, uma grande empresa como a Shopee escolher Jaboatão dos Guararapes para esse centro, mostra o quanto a cidade está preparada para esse crescimento e nós, enquanto gestão municipal, vamos trabalhar para garantir com que nossa população esteja preparada para assumir as vagas que forem surgindo”, pontuou o gestor.
