A Prefeitura de Caruaru, por meio da Secretaria de Serviços Públicos e Sustentabilidade (SESP), está realizando ações de limpeza no Rio Ipojuca e em canais, que estão localizados em alguns bairros da cidade. Estas ações são realizadas de forma periódica durante todo o ano, mas são intensificadas antes dos períodos chuvosos.

“Essa é uma ação que vem acontecendo devido à necessidade de fluidez da água nestes locais. Como janeiro é um período em que as chuvas de verão acontecem e são fortes, esses trechos devem estar limpos para não atrapalhar o curso da água”, disse o secretário Vital Florêncio.

Até esta quarta-feira (8), estas ações foram realizadas nos bairros Baraúnas, Jardim Panorama, Severino Afonso, Petrópolis e Nossa Senhora das Dores. Outras localidades serão beneficiadas pelo serviço ao longo das próximas semanas.

“É importante reforçar que a população precisa colaborar com a limpeza dos locais para não acumular lixo e poluir ainda mais os rios e canais”, finalizou o secretário.
