O prefeito do Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Mano Medeiros, entregou nesta sexta-feira (04) dois novos ônibus escolares que vão reforçar o transporte de alunos da zonal rural do município. A entrega dos veículos foi realizada na Escola Municipal de Tempo Integral São Sebastião no Lote 92, bairro de Vila Rica. O investimento foi em torno de R$ 868.000,00, através de recursos municipais.
Além do prefeito Mano Medeiros participaram do evento gestores da Secretaria municipal de Educação, alunos, professores e equipe pedagógica da unidade escolar.
Os dois veículos escolares que foram entregues pela Prefeitura têm capacidade para transportar um total de 103 alunos. Ambos têm mecanismo de acesso para transportar estudantes que fazem uso de cadeira de rodas.
Para o prefeito Mano Medeiros é importante garantir um transporte de qualidade para os alunos com segurança e conforto. “A gestão municipal tem investido na qualidade do ensino e também em insumos para a rede municipal. Com a chegada desses novos ônibus, os alunos vão se locomover de casa para a escola e retornar para suas residências, com mais segurança e comodidade. Este investimento só reforça as ações e projetos que desenvolvemos na área educacional do município”, comemorou Medeiros.
De acordo com a secretária de Educação do Jaboatão, Mônica Andrade “o transporte escolar desempenha um papel fundamental na garantia do direito à educação para os alunos da zona rural da cidade. Muitas vezes as escolas estão localizadas a vários quilômetros de distância das residências dos estudantes, o que dificulta o acesso diário, sem um meio de transporte adequado.
Nesse contexto, o transporte escolar oferece uma série de benefícios importantes, tais como acessibilidade, igualdade de oportunidade, acesso à educação, inclusão social, segurança e conforto para os estudantes”.
