A prefeitura de Igarassu foi a mais atingida pelas fortes chuvas que caíram no Estado nesta sexta-feira (27) e sábado (28). O município foi afetado por intensos alagamentos, como consequência o rio que corta a cidade transbordou.
Em razão da situação crítica, a gestão municipal decretou Estado de Emergência para intensificar as ações de enfrentamento, garantir apoio à população e facilitar o acesso a recursos estaduais e federais.
A prefeitura segue monitorando a situação e atua com as equipes da Defesa Civil, Guarda Municipal, Departamento de Trânsito, secretarias de Governo, Cidade, Educação, Políticas Sociais, Saúde, Defesa Cidadã e Comunicação e ainda com apoio do Corpo de Bombeiros Militar e de Bombeiros Civis voluntários, reforçando a segurança e o bem-estar da população.
A Prefeitura está acolhendo famílias desalojadas e reforça que doações podem ser entregues na sede da Guarda Municipal, localizada próxima ao prédio-sede da Prefeitura de Igarassu, na Rua Dr, João Elisio, 150-188, Centro.
