IAP faz história empossando Erika Ferraz hoje ( dia 15) como primeira mulher a dirigir o Instituto em seus 173 anos

A Governadora Raquel Lyra recebeu em seu gabinete, no Campo das Princesas, Erika Ferraz e Eric Castro e Silva , conselheiros e integrantes da nova diretoria do tradicional Instituto dos Advogados de Pernambuco-IAP, um dos mais antigos do pais, neste segmento, com 173 anos de existência e que terá sua posse realizada logo mais , nesta quinta-feira, 15, às 18h30, na Faculdade de Direito do Recife, para o biênio 2024-2026. Erika faz história ao assumir o IAP como a primeira mulher a comandar a entidade. Estiveram com a Governadora para entrega do convite para a solenidade oficial de posse, entre outros , os advogados Henrique Costa Seixas, Torquato Castro ( Diretor da Faculdade de Direito), Francisco Queiroz e Emília Queiroz e vários outros conselheiros e integrantes da nova diretoria .

“ A cerimônia será marcada por uma homenagem à História da Defensoria Pública do Estado, em nome do defensor público pernambucano, Nilzardo Carneiro Leão, a quem admiramos e aplaudimos pela sua trajetória, e ainda, celebraremos o aniversário dos cursos jurídicos no Brasil, instituído em 1827 e comemorado em 11 de agosto como o Dia do Advogado”, destaca Erika Ferraz. Fazem parte também da nova diretoria do Instituto dos Advogados de Pernambuco para o biênio 2024-2026 , os advogados Pietro Duarte ( Tesoureiro); Emília Queiroz ( Secretaria -Geral); Paulo Artur Monteiro ( Secretario Geral Adjunto); Jáder Lemos Neto ( Diretor de Revista ) e Eduardo Paurá ( Diretor de Relações Institucionais). O advogado Gustavo Ventura, que empossa agora a a nova diretoria assumiu o instituto, em 2020.A escolha da nova diretoria se deu em junho último, por chapa única. “ Queremos intensificar parcerias e promover conhecimento, aproximar mais o Instituto das advogadas e advogados pernambucanos e inovar com vista as transformações digitais que sabemos ser uma realidade sem volta, afirma Erika.

A presidente do IAP lembra que a primeira realização na agenda da nova gestão já está programada e voltada para a geração de conhecimentos: “A realização de encontros, debates, já começa a acontecer com um seminário nos dias 26 e 27 de agosto, no Recife e no dia 29 , em São Paulo tendo como tema o Anteprojeto do Código Civil em Perspectiva do Direito Comparado, o qual trará para Pernambuco dois dos mais brilhantes juristas da área, a professora Judith Martins-Costa e o professor português Antônio Meneses Cordeiro. O IAP realiza o evento em parceria com o Instituto de Direito Privado – IDIP e Instituto de Estudos Culturalistas – IEC , do Rio Grande do Sul”.
