Governo cumpre a missão de fazer um Carnaval seguro

A população viu, e os foliões brincaram um carnaval tranquilo e sem grandes ocorridos de violência durante os seis dias de folia. Os números oficiais ainda serão divulgados pela Secretaria de Defesa Social (SDS), mas pode se dizer que Pernambuco teve um Carnaval de paz, principalmente no Recife e em Olinda.

O Governo de Pernambuco investiu R$ 54,4 milhões ao todo na festa que preencheu todo o Estado e reforçou a segurança com a implementação de câmeras de alta tecnologia em pontos específicos do Bairro do Recife (Recife Antigo) e do Sítio Histórico de Olinda, identificando possíveis focos de violência e possibilitando a rápida ação da Polícia Militar. As câmeras de reconhecimento facial mostraram resultados identificando pessoas foragidas da Justiça.

Foram cerca de 70 mil plantões extras de policiais militares, civis, bombeiros e demais forças de segurança. Novos policiais aprovados em concurso público vão estar nas ruas nos próximos meses e em 2026 a expectativa é de um Carnaval ainda mais seguro.
