Governadora Raquel Lyra entrega nova Estação de Tratamento de Água na Mata Norte, diminuindo o sistema de rodízio na região

A governadora Raquel Lyra entregou, na manhã desta sexta-feira (16), uma nova Estação de Tratamento de Água (ETA) que irá se integrar ao Sistema Integrado de Abastecimento de Água de Paudalho, na Mata Norte do Estado. Com investimento de R$ 11 milhões, o equipamento vai possibilitar um aumento de 25% na oferta de água para as cidades de Carpina e Paudalho, o que corresponde a um incremento de 50 litros por segundo na produção deste sistema. A iniciativa vai beneficiar 150 mil pessoas da região.

“Estamos muito felizes em estar aqui na Mata Norte fazendo essa entrega tão importante e que garante água para as pessoas que mais precisam. A partir de agora, com a estação funcionando, a população poderá contar com uma maior frequência de água, que também vai chegar de maneira mais forte nas torneiras. Isso vai melhorar a nossa distribuição, o povo vai gastar menos dinheiro com a compra da água de caminhão-pipa, e vamos ver a melhora no racionamento ao qual as pessoas dessa região são submetidas”, destacou a governadora, acompanhada do secretário estadual da Casa Civil, Túlio Vilaça.

A expectativa é que a partir do mês de setembro os moradores das cidades de Paudalho e Carpina já tenham redução no rodízio do calendário de abastecimento. Em Paudalho, a população passará de três dias com água e nove dias sem, para três dias com água e sete dias sem. Já em Carpina, o calendário que era de três dias com água e 13 dias sem, passará a ser de três dias com água e oito dias sem.

De acordo com o secretário de Recursos Hídricos e Saneamento, Almir Cirilo, o tratamento da água é uma etapa importante no processo para que ela chegue às casas das pessoas. “Estamos aumentando em 60% a capacidade de tratamento nessa estação. Estamos vendo uma nova Compesa, que se aproxima dos municípios e cumpre com mais constância a sua missão. Esperamos a médio prazo acabar com o racionamento e fazer com que todos os cidadãos tenham água nas suas casas”, pontuou o titular da pasta.

Presente na solenidade, o deputado estadual Gustavo Gouveia enfatizou que a nova estação traz mais dignidade para a população. “A gente recebia muita reclamação sobre a questão da água de Paudalho e Carpina quando andava nas ruas. São mais de 30 anos sofrendo com esse problema, mas eu tenho certeza de que esse é o início do desenvolvimento da nossa região, de grandes obras estruturadoras que ainda vamos ter”, enfatizou o parlamentar.

No município de Carpina, a Compesa está executando, ainda, a implantação de 3.700 metros de rede de distribuição de água para beneficiar os bairros Carneiro Leão e Três Marias. O investimento é de R$ 300 mil e vai beneficiar diretamente 24 mil pessoas com mais qualidade de vida. As cidades de Chã de Alegria e Tracunhaém, que também são atendidas pelo Sistema Integrado Paudalho, não sofrerão alteração no regime de abastecimento neste momento, mas contarão com maior segurança operacional para o cumprimento do calendário nessas duas cidades.

Moradora do bairro Carneiro Leão, Débora Marinho, de 20 anos, agradeceu os investimentos feitos pelo Governo do Estado na região. “O acesso à água é um direito básico, a governadora teve a sensibilidade de atender a gente e ter esse olhar diferenciado”, disse.
