Com o falecimento do empresário e vereador Fabrício Gonçalves de Brito, o cenário político em Surubim passa por um momento de transição. Flávio Vasconcellos, presidente do partido Republicanos em Surubim, está em conversa com o presidente estadual da legenda, Samuel Andrade, para decidir quem assumirá a vaga deixada na Câmara Municipal.

Inicialmente, o nome cotado para assumir a cadeira era o de Júnior Amorim. No entanto, com sua saída do partido, o Republicanos agora avalia a questão da posse, considerando que o mandato pertence à sigla.
