Para marcar o Dia Mundial do Meio Ambiente, comemorado no dia 05 de junho, a Assembleia Legislativa de Pernambuco (Alepe), promove ao longo da semana uma série de atividades sobre o tema. A programação vai de 3 a 7 de junho. A iniciativa engloba o lançamento do projeto de conscientização e práticas sustentáveis voltados para alunos de escola pública, apresentação de políticas públicas sustentáveis e responsabilidade ambiental com campanhas de reciclagem, palestras no Recife e interior do estado.
As atividades incluem ainda audiência pública e palestras, inauguração de uma exposição voltada para o reaproveitamento de materiais reutilizáveis que teriam o lixo como destino, mas que se transformaram em obras de arte. A ‘Galeria Reciclada na Alepe’ é uma iniciativa da Companhia Editora de Pernambuco (Cepe) que ficará aberta ao público. As ações são coordenadas pela Comissão de Meio Ambiente, Sustentabilidade e Proteção Animal da Alepe.
As atividades programadas pela Casa na semana do meio ambiente estão amparadas no selo Alepe Sustentável, Solidárias e Inclusiva. O roteiro começa na segunda-feira (03/06), a partir das 8h30, com o lançamento do projeto de Conscientização Socioambiental do Colégio Ginásio Pernambucano. A ação, coordenada pela professora Thaynah Leal, prevê a criação de uma horta comunitária, campanhas de reciclagem, palestras sobre o uso eficiente de recursos naturais e um concurso de ideias sobre ecologia.
Na terça-feira (04/06), às 10h, a Comissão de Meio Ambiente da Alepe fará uma audiência pública sobre as “Estratégias de Prevenção aos Efeitos das Mudanças Climáticas em Pernambuco”. Especialistas em climatologia, representantes de organizações ambientais, autoridades governamentais e interessados no assunto vão discutir sobre os impactos das mudanças climáticas no estado. O evento acontecerá no auditório Sérgio Guerra.
Na quarta-feira (05/06), em celebração ao Dia Mundial do Meio Ambiente, a Alepe promoverá duas ações. Às 9h será aberta a exposição ‘Galeria Reciclada na Alepe’ em parceria com a Cepe. As peças, produzidas pelo artista plástico Júlio Gonçalves, ficarão expostas de 05 a 21/06, no Hall Superior do Edifício Miguel Arraes.
Paralela à exposição acontecerá na quarta-feira (05/06), a partir das 10h, a palestra “Desertificação em Pernambuco: desafios e enfrentamentos”. Os participantes vão discutir as causas, consequências e estratégias para enfrentar o problema no estado. Os especialistas em meio ambiente, climatologia e gestão de recursos naturais vão abordar sobre a perda da vegetação, a redução de fertilidade do solo, escassez de água e os impactos socioeconômicos para a população.
Além de apontar as possíveis causas da desertificação, os especialistas em meio ambiente vão apresentar estratégias de conservação do solo, técnicas de manejo sustentável, políticas públicas e iniciativas comunitárias que estão sendo adotadas no estado. A ideia é reduzir os efeitos da desertificação e promover a sustentabilidade ambiental.
Na quinta-feira (06/06) e sexta-feira (07/06) a Comissão de Meio Ambiente da Alepe programou visitas técnicas nas cidades de Petrolina e Serra Talhada. Na primeira, os deputados e funcionários da Codevasf vão discutir medidas para combater o desmatamento e a desertificação, especialmente no semiárido pernambucano. Na sexta-feira, em Serra Talhada, os parlamentares farão uma visita à sede do Instituto Serra Grande. A instituição é voltada para recuperação de áreas desmatadas da Caatinga e na implementação de projetos de reflorestamento. De acordo com a Alepe, a visita tem como objetivo fortalecer parcerias, desenvolver políticas públicas e apoiar iniciativas de sustentabilidade ambiental e socioeconômico local.
