Prefeitura do Recife executa obra de contenção de encosta no Jordão Baixo

A Prefeitura do Recife está investindo R$ 962 mil em uma obra de contenção definitiva de encosta na rua São José do Egito, no bairro do Jordão Baixo, Zona Sul da capital. Mais de 200 pessoas moradoras da área, considerada de risco, serão beneficiadas com o serviço, que inclui a drenagem do local. O prefeito João Campos vistoriou o trabalho nesta segunda-feira (3).

“O nosso objetivo é realizar o maior número de obras e proteger prioritariamente aqueles que mais precisam no Recife. Esta encosta vai dar segurança a mais de 250 pessoas diretamente e é mais um exemplo do esforço da Prefeitura do Recife e dos resultados da Ação Inverno. Sei que as pessoas esperam velocidade e qualidade na execução do trabalho do nosso time e asseguro que estamos nos dedicando muito para avançar no trabalho. Temos feito muitos investimentos no Recife, boa parte com recursos próprios, mas também através do PAC. Inclusive, quero agradecer novamente ao presidente Lula e ao ministro das Cidades, Jader Barbalho Filho pela parceria”, afirmou João Campos.

Para garantir segurança e proteção às 50 famílias que residem no local, a Autarquia de Urbanização do Recife (URB), responsável pela execução da obra, vai construir um muro de arrimo com 194 m², além de 107 metros de canaleta de drenagem. O serviço também prevê 651 m² de proteção de talude em tela argamassada, 171 m² de piso de concreto e 107 metros de assentamento de corrimões.

Maria Socorro Alves, 84, mora na Rua São José do Egito há 40 anos e expressou o seu desejo antigo de ver a obra sendo realizada para a proteção dos moradores. “Antes, quando chovia, era barreira caindo, lama entrando pelas porta e assim ia acontecendo durante todo o inverno. Agora o sentimento é de fé e alegria. Esperei essa obra por 40 anos e finalmente ela vai acabar com o nosso sofrimento e sensação de medo”, disse ela.

“Essa obra tem uma importância muito grande para essa região, são cinquenta famílias sendo protegidas diretamente. Essa barreira estava sob grande risco e conseguimos executar o projeto através do PAC, do Governo Federal. A obra está em andamento e pretendemos entregá-la até o fim deste ano”, explicou Paulo Britto, Gerente Geral de Obras de Encosta, da URB.

Desde 2021, a Prefeitura do Recife já realizou 96 obras de contenção definitiva de encostas, com impacto direto na proteção de quase 10 mil pessoas e investimentos da ordem de R$ 113 milhões. Atualmente, há mais 56 intervenções em execução, que irão garantir a proteção direta de mais 9.750 famílias, totalizando cerca de 20 mil pessoas, com aportes da ordem de R$ 135 milhões.
