O promotor de Justiça de Brejo da Madre Deus, que também responde pela cidade de Jataúba, Antonio Rolemberg, concedeu entrevista ao programa ‘Cidade em Foco’, da Rede Pernambuco de Rádios e ao Blog do Alberes Xavier. Neste período, em razão da realização da eleição municipal, ele torna-se, automaticamente, promotor eleitoral das duas cidades.

O principal tema da entrevista foi o pedido de impugnação feito pelo Ministério Público contra a candidatura a prefeito de Antônio de Roque a Prefeitura de Jataúba. “Trata-se de uma situação muito clara, onde o pedido de impugnação foi amparado no fato dele ter contas rejeitada pelo Tribunal de Contas do Estado, também rejeitadas pela Câmara de Vereadores”, disse e seguiu, “A legislação é muito clara, ele mesmo já tinha conhecimento disso”.

Segundo o promotor, o MP agiu de acordo com o que manda a Lei. Ele frisou ainda que não existe um prazo estipulado para que o juiz eleitoral se pronuncie e declare se acata ou não o pedido do MP, no entanto, ele afirmou crer que no máximo em dez dias a questão deverá ser resolvida definitivamente. “Em tese o juiz tem até a véspera da eleição para se pronunciar, pois cada processo tem uma história, no entanto, acredito que em dez dias ele dará o seu parecer”.
