Polícia Federal Investiga Possível Desvio de R$ 12 Milhões na Gestão Chico Siqueira em Ipubi; Operação Inclui Busca na Casa do Prefeito

Em uma operação de grande escala, a Polícia Federal, em colaboração com a Controladoria-Geral da União (CGU), deflagrou nesta terça-feira, 10 de setembro, a Operação Mãos Fechadas, que expôs um esquema de corrupção profundamente enraizado na Prefeitura de Ipubi. A investigação revelou a participação ativa de servidores públicos da administração municipal em práticas ilícitas de desvio de recursos e lavagem de dinheiro.

Iniciadas em 2021, as investigações descobriram que empresas associadas a agentes públicos da Prefeitura de Ipubi receberam contratações fraudulentas para fornecimento de alimentos, materiais de limpeza e de escritório. O esquema de corrupção envolveu aproximadamente R$ 12 milhões em contratos públicos desde 2017, demonstrando uma extensa rede de favorecimento e desvio de recursos destinados ao bem-estar da população.

A Operação Mãos Fechadas mobilizou 50 policiais federais e três auditores da CGU, que executaram doze mandados de busca e apreensão, incluindo uma busca na casa do prefeito Chico Siqueira, além de quebras de sigilos bancário e fiscal, conforme autorizado pelo Tribunal Regional Federal da 5ª Região. Os crimes investigados incluem formação de organização criminosa, corrupção ativa e passiva, fraude à licitação e lavagem de dinheiro.

O destaque da operação está na revelação de como a corrupção permeou a estrutura da Prefeitura de Ipubi, com servidores públicos diretamente envolvidos em atividades criminosas. A operação sublinha a urgência de medidas rigorosas para restaurar a integridade e a transparência na administração municipal, protegendo os recursos públicos e assegurando uma gestão mais responsável e ética.
