Pé-de-Meia: MEC pagará R$ 1.050 por mês para universitários de licenciatura

O Ministério da Educação (MEC) pagará uma mensalidade de R$ 1.050 para estudantes de cursos universitários de formação de professores.

O programa “Pé-de-Meia Licenciatura” será anunciado pelo governo federal na próxima segunda-feira (13) e faz parte do “Mais Professores”, política pública de valorização do magistério.

O valor a ser pago pelo governo como incentivo à formação de futuros professores foi antecipado pelo jornal “O Estado de S. Paulo” e confirmado pela CNN.

Assim como o “Pé-de-Meia” para estudantes de ensino médio, parte do dinheiro será depositado em uma poupança.

Os detalhes do “Pé-de-Meia Licenciatura” serão anunciados em uma coletiva de imprensa do MEC e do Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira (Inep), na segunda às 10h, junto com a divulgação dos resultados do Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (Enem) 2024.

Na ocasião, serão divulgadas as condições para receber o novo benefício.

Na terça-feira (14), está prevista uma cerimônia no Palácio do Planalto com o presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) e o ministro da Educação, Camilo Santana, para divulgar o novo programa de incentivo à formação de professores.

O programa de incentivo aos estudantes é uma das apostas para ser uma marca do terceiro governo Lula. O “Pé-de-Meia” para estudantes do ensino médio paga um valor de R$ 200 mensais e atende atualmente cerca de 4 milhões de alunos.

No fim do ano, a área técnica do Tribunal de Contas da União (TCU), pediu o bloqueio dos recursos destinados ao programa “Pé-de-Meia”. O entendimento dos auditores é de que o programa foi desenhado de uma forma em que está sendo operado fora do Orçamento da União, desrespeitando as regras fiscais.

Em outubro, o presidente Lula, em evento na Bahia, defendeu o programa Pé-de-Meia dizendo não ser gasto, mas investimento para o incentivo de estudos.

“Primeiro, eu não acho que é gasto, eu acho que é investimento. Segundo, ficaria muito mais caro gastar fazendo cadeia para prender a meninada que não teve oportunidade do que investir na escola. Por isso, não importa quanto custa, importa que estamos garantindo que vocês cresçam, aprendam uma profissão, tirem o diploma universitário, virem doutores e prestem serviço a esse país, à família e à comunidade”, disse Lula na ocasião.
