Na tarde desta quinta-feira (30), a prefeita professora Elcione Ramos e o secretário de Governo, César Ramos, receberam o senador por Pernambuco Humberto Costa.
O encontro contou com a equipe do parlamentar, parte do secretariado da gestão municipal e a presença do vereador Maguila. Durante a reunião, Elcione Ramos apresentou os avanços já alcançados na cidade, destacando a chegada da primeira maternidade de Igarassu, obra já iniciada pelo Governo do Estado e a implantação do primeiro Conselho Municipal de Segurança Alimentar e Nutricional da Região Metropolitana do Recife, além de outras conquistas importantes para a população.
A prefeita também apresentou demandas pendentes e prioritárias, entre elas a situação da Reserva do Pitanga. No local, existe um habitacional inaugurado em 2014 pelo programa Minha Casa Minha Vida, mas que teve parte da obra inacabada, causando diversos transtornos pela ausência de saneamento básico. O residencial possui 463 moradias, onde vivem cerca de 1.800 famílias.
A prefeita agradeceu a visita do senador e relatou as necessidades urgentes para resolver o saneamento em Pitanga e também na área da Saúde com projetos concluidos pela gestão municipal. “ Estamos buscando soluções para o nosso povo e apoio para continuar avançando , tenho certeza que essa parceria trará grandes resultados para Igarassu”, mencionou Elcione Ramos.
Humberto Costa solicitou à equipe da prefeitura um memorial detalhado, inclusive do ponto de vista legal, e se comprometeu a verificar alternativas para solucionar os desafios existentes. “Com certeza, muito em breve, iremos buscar recursos para atender as prioridades de Igarassu”, destacou o senador.
Finalizando o encontro, no gabinete da professora, César Ramos destacou a alegria em receber o senador. “Para Igarassu, é uma honra ter Humberto em nossa cidade. Ele é sempre muito bem-vindo e tem um olhar atento ao crescimento do nosso município. Seguimos avançando com esse importante apoio”, frisou o secretário.
