O candidato à Prefeitura de Goiana, Eduardo Batista (Avante), votou na manhã deste domingo (4), por volta das 9h, na Escola Estadual Benigno Pessoa de Araújo, no bairro Cidade Nova. A eleição suplementar representa um momento decisivo para o município e vem sendo acompanhada com grande mobilização popular.
Eduardo chegou acompanhado do deputado estadual Joaquim Lira (Partido Verde) e de apoiadores. Em fala à imprensa, destacou que a campanha foi marcada pela força do trabalho e pela conexão direta com a população. “Tivemos competência para administrar o município. Essa é uma das eleições mais disputadas da história de Goiana, mas vamos vencer com a vontade do povo, com a graça de Deus e com o trabalho que realizamos nesses mais de 100 dias de gestão interina. Fizemos em pouco tempo o que não saiu do papel em oito anos. Agora vamos fazer muito mais”, declarou.
Ainda segundo Eduardo, o dia de hoje é carregado de simbolismo. “Não celebramos apenas a possibilidade de vitória, mas a certeza de que cada conquista veio com luta. Esta eleição representa uma virada de chave para Goiana”, afirmou.
Com uma campanha baseada em propostas para a saúde, educação, desenvolvimento social e valorização da cultura, Eduardo Batista reforça sua intenção de seguir governando com responsabilidade, inovação e proximidade com a população. Ele ocupa interinamente o cargo de prefeito desde o início de 2025, após a anulação do pleito anterior pela Justiça Eleitoral.
