Apenas no último mês do ano, as Mortes Violentas Intencionais diminuíram 15,7% no Estado
Pernambuco fechou o ano de 2024 com duas excelentes notícias na área da segurança pública: o último mês do ano registrou a maior redução de homicídios dos últimos 11 anos e, na comparação com 2023, de janeiro a dezembro o Estado diminuiu o número de assassinatos em 5,4%. As informações foram detalhadas nesta segunda-feira (6), durante reunião de monitoramento do programa Juntos Pela Segurança, realizada semanalmente na sede da Secretaria de Planejamento, Gestão e Desenvolvimento Regional (Seplag), na área central do Recife. A vice-governadora Priscila Krause liderou o encontro.
“É uma alegria sem tamanho ver que Pernambuco conseguiu, pelo oitavo mês consecutivo, manter em queda os números de homicídios, o que nos levou a um 2024 muito melhor do que o ano anterior. E tudo isso não é fruto do acaso. Por meio do Juntos Pela Segurança nós estamos garantindo investimentos históricos na segurança pública do nosso Estado, estamos comprando equipamentos, viaturas, coletes à prova de bala, armamento, equipamentos de inteligência. Com essas ações e o trabalho árduo dos homens e mulheres que trabalham em cada órgão e secretaria que faz parte do programa estamos conseguindo, enfim, virar o jogo da nossa segurança”, afirmou a governadora Raquel Lyra.
Segundo dados da Secretaria de Defesa Social (SDS), em dezembro de 2024 Pernambuco registrou 290 casos de Mortes Violentas Intencionais (MVIs). No mesmo mês do ano anterior foram 344 registros, ou seja, tivemos uma redução de 15,7% no número de homicídios. No acumulado do ano a retração foi de 5,4%, com 3.639 boletins de ocorrência em 2023 e 3.441 casos em 2024.
Após a reunião, a vice-governadora Priscila Krause ressaltou os bons resultados obtidos dentro do Juntos Pela Segurança em diversos outros indicadores. “Além dessa redução nos homicídios, também celebramos outras quedas significativas, como nos crimes contra o patrimônio, roubo e furto de veículos, crimes em coletivos, crimes contra a mulher, feminicídios. Este é um trabalho que não para e que não há medida de esforços para que ele possa acontecer de maneira exitosa”, pontuou.
Secretária de Defesa Social em exercício, Dominique de Castro Oliveira afirmou que a expectativa é que em 2025 os números conquistados no ano passado possam se tornar ainda melhores. “Esses resultados nascem de um diagnóstico detalhado e preciso que, juntamente com o comprometimento e trabalho integrado das nossas forças de segurança, nos permitiu entender os problemas e otimizar os recursos que já estavam disponíveis. Com o nosso trabalho diário, vamos continuar avançando na construção de uma segurança pública mais eficiente e próxima da população”, cravou.
As estatísticas da SDS apontam, ainda, que comparando o mês de dezembro de 2023 com o de 2024, os homicídios contra mulheres diminuíram 35,7%, saindo de 28 para 18 registros. A queda dos feminicídios foi de 30%, passando de 10 para sete casos. Os crimes de estupro retraíram em 34,6%, indo de 246 para 161 boletins de ocorrência. No acumulado do ano, esses crimes diminuíram 7,5% (homicídios contra mulheres), 8,5% (feminicídios) e 15,8% (estupro).
O crime de Violência Doméstica contra a Mulher retraiu 9,5% no mês de dezembro, passando de 4.756 (2023) para 4.302 (2024) denúncias. De janeiro a dezembro, houve uma variação para cima de 2,8%. “Esse é um dado de extrema importância para a SDS. Precisamos encorajar, cada vez mais, que as vítimas procurem as polícias e denunciem. Dessa forma, conseguiremos salvar mais vidas, rompendo o ciclo de morte que acontece com o feminicídio”, alertou a secretária.
No ano de 2024, as forças policiais conduziram para as delegacias 31.122 pessoas em flagrante delito por crimes de violência doméstica, tráfico de entorpecentes, roubos, homicídios, entre outros. Neste período também foram apreendidas 5.962 armas.
A reunião contou com a presença de Paulo Paz, secretário de Administração Penitenciária e Ressocialização; do subcomandante-geral da Polícia Militar, coronel Cláudio Ricardo Lopes; do coronel Iremberg Leal de Barros; do gestor-geral da Polícia Científica, Wagner Bezerra; e de Renato Leite, chefe da Polícia Civil de Pernambuco.
